Learning is Sweet with our Kensington Elementary Faculty and Staff!

Students and Staff of Kensington Elementary showed their support of Georgetown Native and Olympian, Melissa Jefferson. Melissa visited KES last year and spoke words of encouragement to our students during a Follow Me Community Meeting. Melissa Jefferson is a Carvers Bay High School graduate. Today she finished second in Heat 3 of the Women's 100m Dash and has advanced to the Semi-Finals. Please be sure to wear your Red, White, and Blue again on August 7th to show your support once more as Melissa Jefferson races again for the Women's 4x100 Relay on August 8th and 9th.

We held our very first assembly of the school year this morning. Dr. Cobb spoke to the students about Essential Expectations. They reviewed our school's 3 R's (Responsible, Respectful, and Ready to Learn) and we learned how to Look, Listen, and Learn. We also had fun practicing "when the hand goes up, the mouth goes shut." Everyone did a great job of being attentive to Dr. Cobb.

Car Rider Information and Reminders for KES (UPDATED)

Melissa Jefferson is a graduate of Carvers Bay High School. She is competing in two events - the Women's 100 M and the Women's 4x100 Relay. We are asking that you wear Red, White, and Blue in support of Melissa Jefferson on Friday, August 2nd and Wednesday, August 7th as she competes in the Olympics.
