Georgetown County Fire & EMS, in partnership with Wal-Mart, SCDNR, and Georgetown City Fire Department, will be hosting a Winter Coat Drive on Sunday, December 15 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Wal-Mart in Georgetown. All sizes of coats are welcomed and appreciated. Coats will be distributed to Georgetown County residents in need.

A Note from the Georgetown County Parks and Rec Dept: 🏀 2025 Basketball Season is Coming! 📣 📅 Registration opens 11/11/24 and runs through 12/31/24. Cost is $40 per participant. Starting 11/15/24 to 1/3/25, we’ll be offering Basketball Clinics 1-2 days a week! Join our Recreation Representatives and coaches for conditioning, drills, and skill development to prep for an exciting season! Note: Must be registered and paid to participate in clinics. Season Practices: Held Monday-Thursday after registration closes. Games: Weekday & Saturday games will be scheduled.
