We are beyond proud to announce that Colbie Kepler, a dedicated 7th grader at GMS, has been selected to serve on the South Carolina Junior Book Award Committee for the 2025-2027 term! 📖✨
As a student committee member, Colbie will collaborate with librarians, teachers, and parents across the state to read and evaluate a wide range of books, helping to identify the best in middle-grade literature. She’ll be analyzing character development, plot, theme, setting, and overall literary quality—an incredible responsibility for a young reader!
This volunteer position requires commitment, critical thinking, and a true love of books, and we know Colbie is up for the challenge! 👏💙
