GHS Student Council is collecting Toys for Tots this year. Get into the Christmas spirit and bring joy to children in our area. Please bring donations of new, unwrapped toys to Mr. Sweeny by Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
Homecoming Spirit Week (October 23-27): Show your school spirit by dressing for the days! Monday- BBQ Dads vs. Soccer Moms; Tuesday- Sunday's Best; Wednesday- Bikers vs. Surfers; Thursday- Dress as Something that Starts with the First Letter of Your Name; Friday- Spirit Day (School Colors). Dress Code Always Applies.
Make-Up Pictures are Thursday, October 19 during Half-Time. Original Proofs will be delivered to the school on Wednesday or Thursday and will be distributed to students.
GHS Interact Club is having a Coat Drive. Please donate your gently worn/used coats to Mrs. Pieterse or place in the bin located in the media center. Collection takes place until October 31.

Juniors will take ASVAB on Monday, October 2nd or Tuesday, October 3rd. ASVAB is a career exploration assessment that will help students learn more about themselves and occupations that align with their interests and skills. In November, counselors will help students decipher scores in a Career Seminar. Check with any of your teachers for your testing time. All students need their school-issued Chromebook.

Our very own GHS Marching Band & GHS Highsteppers will be performing with the Carolina Band during halftime of the USC home game against Furman University this Saturday, September 9th. Kick-off begins at 7:30pm. The game will be televised on ESPN+. Good luck to our GHS performers!!

Must bring 2 proofs of residency, parent/guardian photo id, student's birth certificate and a transcript from their previous school. If they are rising freshman, we will need a final 8th grade report card.
