Congratulations to our Navy Junior ROTC Marksmanship Team as they made it to the Area 7 Championship this weekend. They are currently the 2nd Seed for the Championship out of the 12 top teams from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. If they win the championship this Saturday they will be representing Georgetown High School and the Navy JROTC Area 7 at the Navy National Marksmanship Competition in Anniston Alabama. Congratulations to Berta Ruiz for placing in the Horry/Georgetown Fire Department Art & Creative Writing Contest. Berta's poem "Luck or Lucky" placed 3rd among contenders from schools in both counties. Berta & other winners were honored at a banquet in Conway last Thursday, where she was given a placque & a cash prize.
