PAWS Chick-fil-A Day: Friday, October 18, 2024 -- You MUST PRE-PURCHASE a ticket during lunch on Tuesday, Oct. 15 & Wednesday, Oct. 16 with sandwiches being distributed on Friday, Oct. 18. Sandwiches are $8 each. PAWS will also be selling Turtle Box Raffle Tickets. Raffle Tickets are 1 for $5 and 5 for $20.

If you are 16 years old, pick up a parent's permission form from Mrs. Poston to be signed. Please bring a government issued ID with you, not just your student ID.

Good luck to the 2024 Homecoming Contestants! They are Ziare Barrentine, Lael Blackstock, Jayla Greene, Elyse Lewis, and Emma Pope. The Queen will be crowned during halftime at the football game Friday night.

Health Screenings for all 9th graders will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Students were given an OPT out form to take home last Friday, September 20. If parents wish to opt out of screenings for their child, the paper needs to be returned by this Friday, September 27, 2024.

Tickets for the 2024 GHS Homecoming Dance will be sold online only for $25 + fees and will go on sale at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16 and continue through Sept. 27. This event is for GHS students only. In order to purchase your ticket, you will need a unique passcode. You can see Ms. Johnson in the Student Center during lunch to get your passcode. Your code will only be given out to you during lunch. Passcodes will not be given out via email or over the phone. The Homecoming Dance will be held in the Auxiliary Gym on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 7 – 10 p.m. No tickets will be sold at the door. You must have your 2024-2025 school issued picture ID and your eticket to enter that night. Head coverings, sunglasses, and book bags will not be allowed. You will have to go through metal detectors/wands.

GHS Half Day Schedule: Absences still count on half days. Come to school! Tardies still count on half days. You only have 4 minutes of passing time. Plan and walk to class accordingly

Do You Want to be Homecoming Queen for GHS? There is a meeting this Friday, September 13 at 2:45 in the Student Center. In order to be a 2024 contestant for homecoming, students must be in the 12th grade and have the following: No major discipline referral, Minimum GPA of 2.75, Cannot have more than 3 unexcused absences, and Cannot have more than 5 unexcused tardies.

Juniors & Seniors - Tidelands Health is sponsoring a "Nurses are Extraordinary" Day in September. Information and application can be picked up in the school counseling office, but are also available on the grade level google classrooms. For anyone interested in the nursing field, this is an excellent experience!

Class of 2025: College Application Day sign up is in the Senior School Counseling google classroom. The deadline to submit the registration form is next Thursday, September 5th.
