Black History Program:  Guest Speaker Engineer Dr. JaQuan Cox

Dr. JaQuan Cox is a proud native of the Dunbar Community of Georgetown, SC, where his journey toward excellence began. After graduating with honors from Carvers Bay High School, he embarked on a path driven by a fervent passion for engineering and technology. This drive led him to North Carolina A&T State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering. Recognized for his academic prowess, Dr. Cox continued to soar, obtaining a Master's degree in Information Systems and Technology Management, followed by a Doctorate in Information Technology from Capella University.

Dr. Cox's professional journey has been marked by his commitment to innovation and leadership. As a Solutions Architect at Boeing South Carolina, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of aerospace technology and manufacturing. His speech on February 28, 2024, was riveting, it highlighted academic determination, perseverance, and goal setting.  We would also like to recognize the Carvers Bay Middle STEAM Academy choral students as well as the dancers of Energy Burst for their outstanding performance during the Black History Program.
