Wednesday-mismatched clothing day, Thursday- Wear Professional Dress Day, and Friday-Wear year favorite hat. Carvers Bay Middle STEAM Academy is excited to announce the celebration of Dr. Seuss Week! Read Across America Week takes place from March 2 to 6, coinciding with the birthday of the cherished author, Dr. Seuss. This week in March is fully devoted to reading, featuring daily themed activities such as "Drop Everything and Read" and "Inside Put Day." The National Education Association (N.E.A.) strives to promote reading and raise awareness about its advantages, particularly for children and young adults. GCSD Announcement: In light of forecasted winter weather, all GCSD schools and facilities will be CLOSED on January 22, 2025. This decision, made in consultation with the National Weather Service and Georgetown County Emergency Management, prioritizes the safety of our students and staff. There will be no eLearning assignments or afterschool activities. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. More updates will follow regarding Thursday's operational status. We are incredibly proud of our CBMSA Lego Robotics Team for demonstrating exceptional leadership and public speaking skills at our Magnet Fair this past Thursday! šŸŒŸ They showcased amazing projects and engaged with prospective students and families, sharing insights about our academic rigor and vibrant school culture. A huge thank you to our assistant principal, Ms. Wilson, and our dedicated STEM and Computer Science teachers, Ms. Gordon and Ms. Holder, for their invaluable support.
