"Congratulations to the WHS jazz ensemble who received an excellent rating at the state jazz performance assessment hosted at Newberry College. Special congratulations to freshman Jairo Ramos de la Cruz who was recognized as the outstanding soloist.
The group will also perform at the district volunteer of the year banquet in April."

The 2024 Parent and Guardian School Climate Survey can be accessed through Parent Portal on a browser or through the PowerSchool Mobile App. Below are instructions on how to access forms through the portal and mobile app.
Accessing the 2024 Parent and Guardian School Climate Survey through Parent Portal on a browser
1. Navigate to the Parent Portal login page.
2. Enter your Username and Password to log into your Parent Portal Account. (Contact your child's school if you do not have a Parent Portal Account.)
3. Select the Forms link from the left-hand Navigation bar.
4.Go to the 'General Forms' tab.
5. Click on '2024 Parent and Guardian School Climate Survey' to open the form.
6. Click on the link within the form.
7. Complete the necessary information and click 'Submit."

**Please make sure you are on the most recent version of the app prior to logging in.
1. Navigate to the PowerSchool App on your mobile phone.
2. Enter your Username and Password and log in to the mobile app.
3. From the Dashboard select 'More'
4. Click on 'Forms' to access the 2024 Parent and Guardian School
Climate Survey.
5. Click on the form title to open the form.
6. Click on the blue link to open the survey.
7. Complete the necessary information and click 'Submit."

The Waccamaw community is invited to participate in a Community Listening Session on Monday, January 29, 2024, in the Waccamaw High auditorium from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Your input will help us create a profile of what the community seeks in the next principal of Waccamaw High School.

Wrestling coach Don Williams was selected as a Coach for the South Carolina North South All Star Wrestling Classic!
This is a great honor and we are proud of his accomplishment.
The North South All Star Wrestling Classic will take place 2/28-3/2.
Windtalkers continue their winning ways.
The Windtalkers competed at Bob Jones Academy on October 21st. The team took home the second place trophy; 26 schools from across North and South Carolina competed.

Extemporaneous Speaking: Jack Hopkins, 3rd place
