Seat Time Rules
You cannot have more than 10 absences (unexcused and excused) for
a semester class; 5 for a quarter class
Any absences between 10 and 20 can be recovered for a semester
class; 5-10 for a quarter class
Seat Recovery Time - every 45 minutes outside of normal school
hours will recover one absence per class
Homebound/ISS/OSS/Field Trip/College Visit DO NOT count against
your days
Any absences over 20 (semester)/10 (quarter) result in an FA -
Failure Due to Attendance
This is a STATE LAW
Exam Exemptions.
To exempt exams, you must have a 90% or higher in the class AND 5
or less UNEXCUSED absences (semester) OR 2 or less UNEXCUSED
absences (quarter class)
Parent Notes (max of 5 per semester), Medical, Homebound, ISS, OSS,
College Visit, and Field Trip DO NOT count against your days
You cannot use Seat Recovery Time to make up these absences
