As part of our Read Across America celebration last week, we held a bookmark contest in the library. Winners received a prize AND their bookmarks will be available in the library for students to choose and use whenever they checkout. We had some AWESOME entries! We are proud to announce that our school has been selected to receive a special Little Free Library! In recognition of reaching the milestone of placing 200,000 Little Free Libraries, this nonprofit organization has granted 200 book-sharing boxes to Title I elementary schools in the U.S. Each library includes 200 engaging and diverse books from Penguin Random House, which has donated 40,000 books in all.
