Rosemary ended our celebration of Black History Month with a Success Panel that highlighted local success stories. Featured on the panel were Dr. Bethany Giles, Superintendent for GCSD; Judge Johnathan Guiles, Chief Magistrate of Georgetown County; Dr. Crystal Franklin, optometrist; and Mrs. Kimberly Nesmith, author and educator. Approximately 120 students got to hear these inspirational speakers talk about their experiences growing up, attending Georgetown schools, colleges, and starting their careers. At the end, students were allowed to ask questions of the panel members.
Other celebrations for this month included Spirit Days scattered throughout the month and Food Truck Thursday on February 27, 2025.
