This Friday starts our Genre Olympics where students can participate by dressing up as a specific genre character. Each Friday the class with the most participation for that grade level will win the Gold! Linked below is the flyer that was sent home before mid-winter break. Let's all celebrate reading together!

Career Week is next week...March 9-13! AES is ready to celebrate careers!

🚌💙 We are so grateful for our AES Bus Drivers! 💙🚌
Rain or shine, early mornings and long afternoons, our amazing bus drivers safely get our AES pandas to school and back home every single day!
Thank you for being such an important part of our AES family. 🐼💙

📚🎉 Read Across America Week is Here! 🎉📚
March 2–6, GCSD is celebrating the joy of reading by logging as many reading minutes as possible across our district—and we need YOUR help!
Teachers and students can read aloud, read together, or read independently each day and log those minutes in Beanstack. Every minute counts toward our district-wide total, which we’ll celebrate at the end of the week! ⏱️📖
✨ Daily Reading Spotlights by Attendance Area:
📸 Monday: Andrews
📚 Tuesday: Carvers Bay
🏘️ Wednesday: Community Reading Day – Families, businesses, and community members are invited to join the fun! Share photos of how you’re celebrating reading and use #ReadAcrossGeorgetown
🏫 Thursday: Georgetown
🌊 Friday: Waccamaw
Let’s fill our classrooms, homes, and community with books, smiles, and reading joy. 💙
Together, we can make Read Across America Week one to remember! 📖🎈
