Ms. Debra McKnight
Debra Ann McKnight is a native of Georgetown County. She attended Deep Creek Elementary, Pleasant Hill Middle, and graduated from Pleasant Hill High in 1989. She then attended Voorhees College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Elementary Education. Continuing her education, she earned a Master of Education from South Carolina State University in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, as well as a Master of Education in Curriculum Education; Literacy and an Educational Specialist Degree from Arkansas State University.
Throughout her career, Mrs. McKnight has taught kindergarten, second, fourth, and sixth grades, and has served as a Curriculum Specialist for 16 years. She is married to George McKnight and has a daughter named Jasmine Brown. Debra is the daughter of the late Francis Odell Jenkins and Annie and Willie James Lewis, Sr.
Mrs. McKnight is deeply committed to education and creating a positive learning environment for students. She is dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential and believes in the transformative power of education. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and volunteering in her community. She attends Hopewell AME Church and Mrs. McKnight is a strong advocate for education and is always seeking ways to improve and innovate in the field, believing that education is the key to success.
Mr. Michael Clark
Mr. Clark received his bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from South Carolina State University, a Master of Arts in teaching k-12 Integrated Music from the University of the Cumberlands, and an Educational Specialist degree in Leadership Administration from the University of the Cumberlands. Mr. Clark has been in the education field for sixteen years, serving in the capacity of an athletic coach, general music teacher, and middle/high school band director. Mr. Clark is currently in school working on his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership.
Michael L. Clark is the proud son of Betty Jean Clark and the late Deacon Herbert Clark Jr . He is the youngest of four siblings. Born a native of Lake City, S.C, and is a member of the graduating class of 1999 from Lake City High School. Michael L. Clark enjoys working with the youth and community.
He is a proud member of Mt. Clair Missionary Baptist Church in Lake City, SC. Mr. Clark is an advocate for students and education.
