Waccamaw High School and Georgetown County School District are celebrating a first-ever milestone for both the school and the District—four WHS students have been named Academic All Americans by the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA).
Congratulations to WHS Windtalkers:
Charles Gates
Eleanor Forrest
Delaney Tempalsky
Sofia Nicastro
This prestigious honor is awarded to students who achieve Superior Distinction, maintain a 3.7+ GPA, and demonstrate leadership, character, and excellence in speech and debate. Less than 2% of NSDA members nationwide receive this recognition.
Along with their coach Ree Lawson, these students were recognized at the February 4 GCSD Board of Trustees Meeting for their outstanding accomplishments.
Way to go, Windtalkers!
