A volunteer from Lift Academy talks with a student as they receive their new shoes

Maryville Elementary School partnered with Samaritan's Feet to provide every student with a new pair of athletic shoes on September 4. Volunteers from Samaritan’s Feet, Republic Airways, Lift Academy, and Carolina Limousine and Coach visited the school to personally fit each student with a new pair of shoes.

In preparation for the event, Maryville Elementary worked with parents to provide Samaritan’s Feet with each student’s shoe size. Samaritan's Feet, a global nonprofit based in Charlotte, NC, organized the shoe distribution. Republic Airways sponsored the event, providing shoes, HOPE Totes (which stand for Health, Opportunity, Peace, and Education), and socks for each child. They also sent volunteers to assist with the fittings.

Lift Academy, a flight training program affiliated with Republic Airways, has a location in Myrtle Beach and contributed volunteers to the effort. This event exemplifies the commitment of these organizations to supporting local communities.

Samaritan’s Feet is a global humanitarian organization dedicated to serving those in need by providing shoes as a foundation for a better life. Republic Airways, headquartered in Indianapolis, is a leading regional airline. Together, these organizations identified Maryville Elementary as a school that could benefit from their services.

This event is a testament to the power of community partnerships in making a positive impact on students' lives.
