Change of Command for GHS NJROTC

[Georgetown, South Carolina] – The GHS Navy JROTC proudly announces its recognition as the Most Outstanding Unit in Area 7, a distinction awarded to the unit for its exceptional performance and commitment to excellence. This prestigious honor places the Bulldog Navy JROTC at the forefront of Navy JROTC programs across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Out of 33 Navy programs in Area 7, the Bulldog Navy JROTC emerged as the number one unit, showcasing unparalleled dedication and achievement. This recognition underscores the unit's unwavering commitment to the values of leadership, service, and academic excellence.

As the representative of Area 7, the Bulldog Navy JROTC is now poised to compete for the title of National Most Outstanding Navy JROTC program. Among over 600 Navy units nationwide, only 23 of the top units have the opportunity to vie for this esteemed accolade. The results of this national competition will be announced in June, further highlighting the Bulldog Navy JROTC's outstanding accomplishments.

This marks the third consecutive year that the Bulldog Navy JROTC has been designated as a Distinguished Unit, a recognition reserved for the top 30% of JROTC units globally. Furthermore, this year's distinction extends to being named both a Distinguished Unit and a Naval Honor School, a testament to the unit's exceptional performance and dedication to excellence.

As a Distinguished Unit and Naval Honor School, the Bulldog Navy JROTC has earned the privilege of nominating up to six cadets annually to any Federal Military Academy, including the Naval Academy, West Point, Air Force Academy, and Coast Guard Academy. This opportunity reflects the caliber of leadership and academic excellence fostered within the unit.

Commander Kaiser expresses his pride in the Bulldog Navy JROTC's achievements, stating, "I don’t focus on winning as our competitions are just the laboratory where they have to apply genuine character.  I rather focus on high-unwavering standards of character that emphasizes the principles of Honor, Courage, and Commitment in everything they do.  Then when they genuinely apply those principles in the competitions the real wins will follow.  I remind the Cadets that you can always find loopholes in laws but there are never loopholes in principles.”

Bulldog NJROTC remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering leadership, character development, and academic excellence among its cadets, preparing them for success in their future endeavors.
