When should sick children stay home

When should sick children stay home
Posted on 08/19/2020

Dear Parents;

   As we prepare for LEAP days next week and hopefully the return to in-person classes in the near future, I want to share with you this helpful guidance from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) on keeping children home when sick.  While we have been focused on COVID-19, there are many other common illnesses such as colds, flu and strep throat that can be spread to others.  If you think your child may be sick, please keep them home and contact your healthcare provider.  If you have questions, please reach out to your child’s school nurse.  Thank you for your assistance in getting the 2020-21 school year off to a safe and healthy start!
