Bill Gaskins

Bill grew up in Clilnton, SC. He earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the College of Charleston, and M. ED from Converse College and Grand Canyon University. Bill is a certified elementary teacher and reading teacher with endorsement in virtual teaching and gifted and talented through the SC Department of Education. Bill retired from Berkley County School District in June of 2018.

Bill is currently the Associate Director of Helping Hands of Georgetown County.  He spent 20 years in Georgetown County Schools with most of those teaching in Andrews schools. He has taught middle and elementary grades, worked as a reading specialist, and instructional technologist. He joined Berkeley County School District in 2009 to facilitate a million dollar Teaching American History Grant for K-5 teachers. After two years in this position, he was promoted to the position of Elementary English Language Arts Coordinator. His last three years in Berkeley County, he was the coordinator of virtual learning. He was instrumental in developing a virtual school program for high school students.

Bill and his wife Martha Lynn (native of Andrews) live in Andrews. Both his children graduated from Andrew High School. William is in his third year of law school at the University of Georgia and Anna is a junior at Clemson University majoring in Psychology.
