High School Assessment Program

What is the HSAP?

The High School Assessment Program (HSAP) consists of two tests—one in English language arts and one in mathematics—that are administered to public high school students in South Carolina. The HSAP meets both federal and state requirements. It is also used to measure students’ academic achievement on high school standards in accordance with the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB).

See South Carolina Department of Education for more information.
